My work is focusing on integrated diseases management for field crops including wheat, which consider one of the most important cereal crops. Many pathogens attacking wheat, including Puccinia triticina, which causes leaf rust. Because of its more frequent and widespread occurrence, leaf rust probably results in greater total annual losses worldwide than the other rusts. Our study focusing in Identifying Pt. physiological races and evaluating Egyptian genotypes against leaf rust races and use molecular marker technology to detect resistance genes in Egyptian wheat genotypes.
